PSL tankers lalangoy sa 23rd SSC Open swim meet

MANILA, Philippines — Ibabandera ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ang 15 bagitong tan­kers sa 23rd SSC Open Invitational Midget Swimming Championship na ga­ganapin sa Setyembre 9 hanggang 10 sa Singapore Swimming Club swimming pool sa Singapore.

Nangunguna sa listahan sina Aishel Cid Evangelista, Master Charles Janda at Trump Christian Luistro na mga beterano na sa mga international competitions.

Magugunitang nasungkit ni Evangelista ang Most Outstanding Swimmer award sa 2017 SICC Invitational Swimming Championship na ginanap sa Singapore noong nakaraang buwan habang humakot ng ginto sina Janda at Luistro sa 2017 Tokyo Swimming Championship sa Japan noong Marso.

Lalarga si Evangelista sa boys’ 7-year category habang masisilayan si Janda sa boys’ 8-year at sa­sabak naman si Luistro sa boys’ 9-year event.

“These kids belong to our grassroots development program. We are sending them abroad as early as now to gauge their skills and see the difference compe­ting in local and in international tournament,” ani PSL President Susan Papa.

Hahataw din sina Kiara Acierto (7), Portia Jean Belo (8), Richelle Anne Raine Callera (7), Allister Corpuz (8), Sinagtala Cuevas (8), Ckryztyn Leonardo (6-under), Heleina Glorioso (8), Shinloah San Diego (9) at Ruth Denise Sula (9) sa girls’ division.

Magtatangka namang humirit ng ginto sa boys’ class sina Jamesray Mi­shael Ajido (8), Charles Philip Andallo (8) at Leodd Dalman (8) sa torneong lalahukan ng mahigit 500 tankers mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng rehiyon.

 Galing ang PSL sa impresibong kampanya sa SICC Invitational Swimming Championship kung saan humakot ang Pinoy tankers ng 72 ginto, 67 pilak at 55 tanso para tanghaling overall champion sa ikaanim na sunod na taon.

Nagpadala rin ang PSL ng 36 swimmers sa 2017 Summer World University Games sa New Taipei City, Taiwan.
